Tuna Noodle Casserole
A go-to dish for weeknight meals.
Ingredients
- 6 oz wide egg noodles
- 1 can chunk light tuna
- 1/2 c mayonnaise
- 1/2 c sour cream
- 1/2 c milk
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 c celery, chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1/4 c green pepper, chopped
- 4 oz American cheese
- 1/4 c slivered almonds (optional)
- 1/4 c green olives, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the egg noodles and drain them. Mix the remaining ingredients and fold into the noodles. Place in a greased 2 quart casserole and bake uncovered at 425 degrees for 20 minutes.
Notes This is very adaptable to what is in the fridge and pantry; no soup, no problem -- make your own; no noodles, use macaroni; no mayonnaise, use more sour cream, and vice versa and so on.
