Grilled Tuna with Mustard Dill Sauce
The sauce is heavenly!
Ingredients
- 1 & 1/4 lbs Bluefin Tuna. Four 5 oz fillets, cut about 1 & 1/4 inch thick
- Cooking oiil spray
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/4 t black pepper
- 1 T butter
- 2 small shallots, chopped
- 1 c half and half
- 4 t mustard, grainy
- 5 T fresh, chopped dill
- 1 T lemon zest
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium. Coat tuna with cooking spray: sprinkle with 1/4 t salt and 1/4 t pepper. Grill 4 to 7 minutes per side, iuntil desired degree of doneness.
- Meanwhile, brown butter in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Add shallots and cook until they begin to brown, about 1 minute. Reduce heat to medium and add half and half; cook until slightly thickened and mixture coats the back of a spoon, about 5 minutes. Stir in mustard; remove the heat and stir in dill, zest, 1/4 t salt and 1/8 t pepper.
- Serve sauce hot or at room temperature.
