Chocolate Lime Dessert

This was mom's go to dessert to bring to a pot luck

Ingredients

• 9 oz pkg double chocolate chip cookies (wafers)
• 1 14 oz can evaporated milk
• 1 3 oz pkg lime jello
• 1&3/4 c hot water
• 1/4 c lime juice
• 2 t lemon juice
• 1 c white sugar
• 1/3 c melted butter

Instructions

1. Chill milk in freezer until icu. Dissolve jello in hot water and chill until partly set. Combine 1&1/2 c crumbs with melted butter. Mix thoroughly and press crumb mixgture into bottom of 13 x 9 pan. When jello is consistency of unbeaten egg, whip whites till fluffy. Stir in lime and lemon juice and sugar. Whip evaporated milk tip peaks then fold in jello mix. Pour jello mix over crumbs in baking pan and sprinkle remaining crumbs evenly over the top. Chill until firm.
