Butter Horns
We had these for every holiday growing up. Light but buttery!
Ingredients
- 1 cake yeast
- 1 T lukewarm water
- 1 T sugar
- 1 c lukewarm water
- 1/2 c melted butter
- 3 eggs
- 4 c flour
Instructions
- Crumble 1 cakeyeast in 1 T lukewarm water; add 1 T sugar
- Mix all ingredients but butter together. Cover tightly with saran wrap. Refrigerate overnight. Separate into two hunks. Roll into 1/4 inch (at most) thickness, into circular shape. Cut like pie wedges
Melt some butter (about 1/4 cup); spread butter onto wedges and roll up wedges starting wiht the wide end. Allow to rise at room temperature for 2 hours. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until light brown.
